Since it's been such a LONG time since I've posted, and I can't think of anything else, my lame offering will be a discourse on the increasing ratio of electronics to other things in my room.
As you can see from the picture, my family is growing. I currently have four computers, three are pictured in the picture, and one is on a shelf off the right side of the picture. Starting from the left, you can see on the floor between the bed and the desk my beautiful, 5 year old, built-it-myself desktop, which is actually coming due for a much needed upgrade, as soon as I can acquire the much needed extra cash. (Yes i know, no such thing as extra cash...my point exactly)
Moving towards the right, you can see my brand new Laptop, which I just finished setting up a dual boot with Windows XP Pro and Ubuntu, a distrubution of Linux.
On the right hand side of the picture you see my new/old desktop, which I have acquired for the fun of playing around with it (for free, of course). It currently awaits a power supply that I must pilfer from one of the dead computers in Hickman Science Center.
The fourth, and final computer currently under my ownership, as I mentioned before, is not in the picture, chiefly because i didn't think of putting it in, and am too lazy to take another picture. It is my old laptop, that I am selling to help offset the hit my wallet took when I adopted my new laptop.
I don't know exactly why I am posting this, except perhaps to give my readers a small snapshot of my life here at southern, for those of you who are not.

about time.
I think ivan and Joel could definitely give you a run for you $ though on the number of computers in a dorm room.
but how about number of running, in use computers? (as soon as I get that power supply that is)
:)
Hmm are you insinuating that I um have a bunch of broken computers? I'm insulted lol its quite the contrary they are all fully functional. Thank you. Speaking for Joel here so are his well ok nm. lol
Two things: I love the word pilfer. Why, I don't know, but I do. I think it sounds funny.
And... I was surprised at myself for actually knowing what Linux is, and recognizing the word Ubuntu (I wouldn't have known what it was, but I recognized that at one point in time that word has been introduced to my brain).
Sadly, that's all I have to offer on this discussion of your computer inhabitants.
Bivan: Yes but i meant running as in currently running, and also "in use" were two key words as well...
:) plus I am not doing the same thing you guys are doing
Kristin: I'm surprised you know what linux is as well! I didn't know myself till about 3 or 4 years ago!
:D
I hope you manage to turn a profit on some of these beasts rather then letting other people smoke your bank book:-)
Ok Ok I concede well sorta. Did you ever get that powersupply?
Still looking for one...All the computers in hickman were gone when I went up there on sunday.
